Our guests arrived per Skytrans commercial flight from Brisbane at 3pm on Thursday and departed for Longreach at 1.30pm per Phil Owens twin engine Baron.

Thursday afternoon we did the tourist bit with a quick run out to “Big Red” sanddune followed by an Aussie dinner of corn beef and veggies. Friday was a full days’ drive , almost 350 kms , to various parts of our organic cattle property, Adria Downs. The drive included a visit to the floodout areas and Muncoonie Lakes. They enjoyed lunch in the cattle camp and learning about the different cattle fodder native to the area.

We saw many cattle , kangaroos , birdlife , artesian bores and waterholes. Friday evening we visited  the Birdsville hotel for dinner. They dined on kangaroo fillet. They noted the novel way the “OBE Beef Wellington” was prepared and presented!

Saturday morning first up a quick tour through the working museum and coffee at the bakery before flying to Cordillo for lunch followed by a brief drive away from the homestead.  Back home for dinner of sliced OBE cube roll which was finshed on the barbeque.

Sunday morning we took them for 9 holes of golf which was enjoyed by all . The Aussies won 2 up with 1 hole to play. A light lunch before departure included curried camel pies from  Dustys’ bakery and OBE burgers for top up.
