Japanese gain insight into the Channel Country

OBE Beef was proud to recently lead a group of 14 Japanese clients on a visit of the Channel Country.

We believe in supporting our customers by providing as much first-hand information and knowledge as possible. What better way to explain our production system, than a personal visit to an OBE Producer?

Our Japanese clients where escorted to Allen and Patsy Hubbard’s property, Galway Downs, near Jundah in Western Queensland. Here they were able to view first-hand the natural flora and fauna of the Channel Country. Recent flooding ensured abundant herbage. Our clients were interested to learn about the native grasses of the area, which provide such good fattening pasture.

Our clients enjoyed the opportunity to view OBE Organic Livestock in their natural environment, as well as learning in more detail about our Organic Beef System.

Australian bush hospitality was experienced during the afternoon around a traditional campfire where Billy-Tea and Damper were prepared.

Japanese and Australian culture mixed easily at sunset as the BBQ was prepared for dinner.  Each of our clients had the opportunity to cook their own Rib Fillet, marinated in a ginger and soy sauce.

OBE recognizes the benefits of personal service to our clients.
