We welcomed our friends from overseas, Hans and April on their first visit to Birdsville in Outback Australia. They had a great trip spending lots of time flying and driving around an organic ranch. They were hosted by OBE Director Peter Schmidt, who accompanied them on their flying visit from Brisbane.

Through their questions (and Peter’s answers!) they learned a lot about how the organic cattle industry has evolved in Australia.

On their first night in Birdsville, they were joined for dinner by OBE shareholders, Anthony, Janet and Jenna Brook. The following morning they were flown in a light aircraft to the organic cattle ranch ’Adria Downs’.  Ranch managers, Don and Judy Rayment spent the day with them and showed them some beautiful waterholes and even had them try some of the native vegetation of the area! The spent the evening on the cattle ranch.

The following day they returned to the outback community of Birdsville, stopping en route at cattle yards , as well as the famous Big Red sandune and Nappanrica earth dam.

They enjoyed learning how the different terrains aid in organic cattle productivity and OBE’s commitment to supplying a sustainable future for our next generations.
