As a TAFE Marketing and Communications student, I had the opportunity to apply for a Work Integrated Learning Internship facilitated by Margaret Aspin. Within this program, local business’ and organisations are encouraged to open their offices to students for a real-world experience.

I would like to thank OBE Organic for selecting me to join their company and Managing Director Dalene Wray for the fantastic opportunity of working with them during the 13 weeks.

From my first day at OBE Organic, I was given the opportunity to accompany Marketing and Sustainability advisor Chris Cosgrove to sales and marketing meetings. I was able to develop and learn about the planning and execution of key marketing activities. I was able to assist OBE Organic’s marketing strategy with Spanish content, translation and important target market research.

OBE Organic has equipped me with key skills to assist in the future success of my marketing career. As an international student, I am grateful to have worked with a company that supported me and made me feel at home.

Now that I’ve completed my Marketing and Communication Diploma at TAFE, I feel prepared to put into practice everything I’ve learned during the course and throughout my stay at OBE Organic. I would like to encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities that will help them grow as a person and as a professional.
