The Royal Flying Doctor Service first took flight in 1928 from Cloncurry, a rural town in Channel Country. Locals and travellers can now explore the near-100-year-old history of the Flying Doctor by visiting the John Flynn Place Museum in Cloncurry. Here you will find the world’s first pedal radio from 1936, a gallery of artworks inspired by the RFDS and the outback, recordings of calls to the Flying Doctor and a quarter-scale model of Victory, the first Flying Doctor aircraft.
