One of my favourite pieces of equipment is the Volvo 500. Although we can walk the cattle from place to place while mustering, it is often easier to load them up onto the truck and transport them for longer distances.
Once the cattle have been drafted and processed in the yards, we will most likely load up the fats ready for market.
Then we’ll transport them to a holding paddock, ready for trucking away.
The Volvo has been well designed for our purposes with a side opening door and bridging door between trailers.
We can run the cattle straight through the yard race into the truck bed, safely and efficiently.
