The RFDS has seen firsthand the impact of increased heatwaves, fires, droughts and floods that have devastated Queensland and understand the importance of creating a more sustainable future. We are committed to being an environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient organisation and have taken steps to create a Decarbonisation Action Plan to help us to reduce our carbon footprint. This plan includes ways to:
- reduce waste
- improve energy use
- improve water use efficiency
- reduce GHG emissions
- improve social outcomes for the communities RFDS serve.
