My husband Greg & I joined David and Nell Brook on an overnight trip to Innamincka. It a small town of just 50 people located in far south-east South Australia.
The town lies within the Innamincka Regional Reserve and is situated along the Cooper Creek, a part of the Lake Eyre Basin.
We flew there and back in David and Nell’s Cessna 210 aircraft. Nell piloted the plane on the way home to Birdsville. David was co-pilot on this leg and was explaining to me the route, using his IPAD.
