Whispering Grass Exhibition

“Spidery Oasis”,  one of the images in Whispering Grass Exhibition, by Fiona Lake

A new exhibition of Australian Outback landscape photographs will give visitors a unique opportunity to grasp the distinctive terroir that flavours our certified organic beef. On opening night they will be able to see the landscapes, hear the stories, and taste the beef that’s been seasoned by nature in this vast wilderness.

Renowned photographer, Fiona Lake’s, upcoming exhibition, Whispering Grass, at The Australian Embassy in Washington, DC will visually showcase the unique landscape, people, animals and spirit that make the Outback such an incredible place.

Lake’s Whispering Grass photographs capture life on Outback cattle stations, including some OBE Organic properties located in Australia’s iconic Channel Country. More than 30 of Lake’s best images since 1984 will be on display at the Embassy’s Gallery, which is open to the public, from 7 March to 8 June 2018.

Lake, members of the OBE Organic team, and many others passionate about all things Outback will be celebrating the launch of the new exhibition on opening night, Tuesday, 6 March. During the event, Lake will take attendees on a journey telling the stories behind every photograph on display.

Attendees will also get to experience the taste of the Outback with a menu featuring OBE Organic grass fed beef. Our cattle are sourced from remote properties in the pure heart of Australia where they graze on over 250 species of native grass, plants and herbs. The seasonal characteristics of this pristine land infuse subtle and unique flavours into every cut of OBE Organic beef. The result is grass fed organic beef with a truly unique provenance and flavour, and all the nutritional benefits of beef in a balanced diet.
