During January OBE Organic debuted its new Reserve range of organic, grass fed beef in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia at Hilton Brisbane. OBE’s beef was showcased during Hilton’s F&B Masters event for the Australasia region.

The annual event is a competition that allows Hilton staff from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji to showcase their talents to management and industry colleagues. OBE’s Reserve beef was on the menu during the event’s gala dinner and throughout other components of the event where chefs had the chance to cook with the organic beef.

Hilton Brisbane’s Executive Chef, Hueman Lam, has a passion for produce that is local and sustainable. The OBE team felt that Chef Lam and Hilton’s food philosophy made for an ideal partner to launch OBE Organic Reserve in Australia. Watch a short Twitter video of Chef Lam at the gala dinner explaining some of her inspiration for the menu.

Here are some photos showing scenes from the two-day event, including Hilton chefs cooking OBE Organic hanger steak, and a visit to our friends at Randall Distributors to see a demonstration of boning out of primal cuts of beef.

OBE plans to launch its new Reserve range in other markets, including the UAE, USA and Hong Kong. The availability of OBE Organic Reserve will be dictated by the frequency of rain events in its production regions throughout Australia.

The new Reserve range, like all OBE Organic beef, is certified organic and grass-fed. Watch this new video to learn more: http://bit.ly/2mAVW9V.
