Every second year the RideWest team challenges themselves to cycle 1,311km from Brisbane to Longreach, across eight days, to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) to support the mental health Wellbeing Out West Program. In the past 13 years this charity ride has raised more than $1.9 million for the Flying Doctor to deliver vital mental health services to Queenslanders living in regional, rural and remote communities.
