The Unimog

Without a doubt my favourite toy on the station! This is a Mercedes U1600 Unimog.

In this photo, I am making my way from Cordillo Downs Station down to Innamincka Trading Post to collect groceries and supplies.

I have the refrigerator unit on board, using a small generator to keep the fridge cool when it’s off grid.

The Unimog is a really versatile machine, well suited to the tough terrain on the station.
