This is where the bitumen ends near Carcory Homestead Ruins on the road to Bedourie from Birdsville, which is a distance of 180kms. Since I took this photo, the Diamantina Shire Council has sealed more sections of the road and the only section that remains unsealed is the Cuttaburra crossing of Eyre Creek, south of Glengyle Station.
