Acknowledgement: OBE Organic acknowledge and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia, whose ancestral lands and waters we work and live on throughout Australia. Our offices are located on the traditional lands of the Turrbal peoples in Brisbane. These ancestral homelands of the Turrbal people stretch from the North Pine River south to Logan River and inland as far as Moggill.
In celebration of NAIDOC Week 2020, we have launched an interactive document presenting the work we have done to advance Reconciliation in Australia. Here are 5 highlights in our journey to Reconciliation:
1. “A Cultural Talk” delivered by Joyleen Booth, A Wangkangurru Woman from Birdsville and an OBE Organic producer from Murnpeowie Station (north east South Australia)
2. Celebrating Indigenous Literacy Day 2020 with an in-office screening of the virtual event and a staff potluck
3. Hosting The Australian Dream with the Stockyard team as our guests
4. Purchasing the AIATSIS Lake Eyre Basin – Aboriginal Way Map
5. “A Cultural Talk” delivered by Robert Clancy & Amy Books , a Wulli Wulli woman who has over ten years’ experience in the Australian beef and food industry.
And that is only 5 of them!
