The Beef Australia 2009 Rabobank Young Ambassador Awards program is open to youth aged 18 to 26 years, male and female, from throughout Australia and allows entrants and finalists to test their skills and knowledge of the beef industry. The winning Ambassador will take part in international events on behalf of Beef Australia in the years leading up to the next expo – a great opportunity.
Ashlee Oldfield, OBE Beef’s dynamic young production assistant has been nominated as a finalist in the awards. Her research topic,
“Agricultural land is under increasing pressure from competing interests. Identify a number of these and what the implications are for the individual land owner and society as a whole if solutions are not found with stakeholders. Suggest a way forward as part of your presentation”.
