OBE Organic began in the nineties as the first and only premium meat exporter that was 100% dedicated to the production of organic beef in Australia. Formed by a group of far-sighted pastoral families, we had a vision to support farmers who operate in the pure heart of Australia, while supplying the world’s best organic beef to restaurants & retailers around the world. We have matured into a business to help people lead better, healthier lives. We are on a journey of collaboration, inside and outside our value chain.
Our family farmers are united by a shared respect for the environment and their animals and a commitment to produce the best possible organic beef. It was this collective desire to do better that led us to establish OBE® Organic in the early 1990s.
Emma Pendergast and her husband Brodie manage a USDA Certified Organic beef cattle property called ‘Gilling’ just outside of Goondiwindi in Queensland. This collaboration captures moments while Brodie is at work at Gilling, with a little help from their children, Clancy and Ruby.
Emma is a rural Mum of two gorgeous children, a wife to Brodie and a passionate photographer.
You will often find her pottering in her garden whilst assisting with the day to day tasks of running the station.
She was born into a horse family and it’s safe to say the passion for horses is in her blood. Emma and Brodie own a collection of beautiful horses that they compete on at campdrafts.
Emma has always had a love for photography and after a push from her husband to get a camera I was fortunate enough to spend a weekend with well known equine photographer and dear friend, Stephen Mowbray.
Her photography business has evolved rapidly over the past couple of years.
She has photographed some of Australia’s largest performance horse sales and prestigious campdraft events and more recently emerged into family portraiture, engagement & newborn photoshoots with the occasional wedding thrown in the mix.
